2 11 FIRM OFFER (CE008) E Saint-Martin SR Tardy to begin, took up usual position towards rear, raced on rails 7 to 8Ls from pace, not asked in mid-section, had field to beat on turn, stuck to inside and shifted between horses at 200 M, closed hard when clear to just miss.
3 1 MY CHOICE (CC283) C W Wong -- Average to leave gates, regathered to be prominent early, raced first outside leader 2Ls back, improved to be 1L down on turn, came with strong run to briefly hit lead at 200 M, couldn't match first two late.
4 4 FRUITY FRUITY (CD061) R Fradd -- Slowly into stride, settled worse than midfield on rails 6Ls off pace, had easy time spending little to bend, made run between horses on straightening, steadily made ground in straight without threatening to make frame.
5 7 GOOD PROFIT (CD389) G Mosse -- Began with line, drifted back to midfield, raced on rails 4 to 5Ls down in middle stages, saved ground on bend, kept to inside in straight, closed off evenly but lacked usual finishing burst to make impression.
6 2 TIBER (CD155) M Nunes TT Slow to break, assumed usual role behind midfield, raced 2 wide 6 to 7Ls from front runners, peeled 3 wide on bend, well back turning in, closed race off fairly down middle of track to be closest at finish.
7 3 CHEEKY (CA266) D Nikolic V Average to begin, drifted back to last, raced 2 wide 8Ls back in mid-section, made run 3 wide on circle, came 4 wide awkwardly on turning in, lacked usual finishing burst closing race off only moderately down middle.
8 5 LIBERAL'S KNIGHT (CE272) D Whyte -- Began well, prominent early before taking a trail in midfield, shuffled back to be 2 wide 5Ls away at midpoint, shifted wider on bend, came to middle of track and closed steadily at the same pace to finish.
9 6 NOBLE CRUSADER (CD286) M Odendaal TT First to hit ground, pressed on from wide alley using plenty to find front, kept rolling 1L clear on bend, kicked strongly to 250 M but folded when pressured and weakened from that point.
10 9 BOBO WIN (CC238) O Doleuze CP- Showed good speed from break, eased when unable to cross to running line, posted 3 wide 3Ls back in midfield, always working with cover, eased 4 wide into straight but didn't go on with it in straight.
11 10 NOBLE MAN (CC099) F Coetzee -- Began with rest, went on in search of lead, forced to race 3 wide without cover when unable to cross, set task 3 wide throughout 2Ls away without cover, there turning in but faded from 300 M after a hard run.
12 12 WHATABOB (CD213) H W Lai B Even break, showed speed to challenge for lead, handed up front to race behind leader, proved difficult to settle in mid-section, close enough on turning in but offered nothing when pressure was applied. (Respiratory noise.)
