13 FUJIAN PRINCE (CE006) M Nunes SR/TT Began in line, ridden up to hold leaders back, had the run of the race with average speed on, eased out turning in, gradually progressed to challenge and did best work late to finish over the top.
14 HONEST TREASURE (CE200) K L Chui B/TT Had plenty of dash from outset and crossed them easily, lead at a moderate tempo 1L clear, still held narrow advantage turning, kicked hard in straight and in front everywhere but line.
3 ROCKET WIN (CE249) W M Lai P/XB Standard break, taken to rails and ended up in midfield role 4Ls away, not asked throughout and close enough not to be harmed by speed, in traffic turning, clear from 300 M and made good ground last 200 M for 3rd.
11 CLASSIC REUNION (CH166) A Delpech B Away well, showed more speed than usual and ended up outside leader, had an ideal trip 1L back with slow tempo, moved up to challenge leaving bend, run ended at 100 M but held on well to 4th.
7 MAGIC TEMPLE (CC368) E Saint-Martin PC/TT Ordinary getaway, assumed rearward role as usual, took up a spot on rails 6Ls from pace, unsuited by tempo, kept to rails on turning, made plenty of ground from well back to be nearest on line.
1 VICTORY TREASURE (CE031) S Dye B/TT Standard break, slotted in on rails behind midfield 5 to 6Ls back, 2 wide from midpoint, in traffic between horses turning, closed evenly down middle when clear to be closest at finish.
9 FAT DRAGON (CD130) H W Lai -- Slow to begin and intentionally ridden in a rearward role, raced 7 to 8Ls back on rails, not helped by average speed on in front, tracked between horses in straight and made a little ground without threatening.
5 DASHING THUNDER (CD080) C W Wong B Away with line, drifted back as usual to slot in behind midfield, raced 2 wide 6Ls back, not aided by slow speed, switched 3 wide on bend, came widest turning in and made some ground but never a factor.
2 ESPERANZA (CG159) O Doleuze -- Reasonable break, ended up in coveted 1 out 1 back spot, had run of race 2Ls back to bend, switched out turning in, ran on to 200 M when run ended and weakened out of it late.
10 CAGA BOY (CG060) K M Chin -- Restrained from outset, raced 2 wide at rear 8Ls off pace, not helped by slow tempo, switched 4 wide on circle, made little impact in the straight and only passed some tired runners late.
8 PRESENT TREASURE (CC077) E Legrix TT Amongst first few to begin, forced to cover ground from a wide alley, posted 4 wide without cover 3Ls back, always working to be 2Ls back on bend, was a spent force turning and dropped right out in straight.
12 CITY SURFER (CG129) Y T Cheng V Standard break, drove up to be prominent 3 wide just off pace, had cover 3Ls back throughout, close enough on bend, found nothing when asked and plodded to line in straight.
4 WEALTHY TREASURE (CC270) K T Yeung -- Began nicely, pressed on to take closer order, raced 1L back 3 wide without cover, had a hard trip to bend, unable to find when pressure was applied and weakened right out.
