3 LASER TIGER (CG251) B Prebble CP Amongst first few to leave gates, took a spot 2Ls away first without cover, travelled well to bend, eased out and gradually wound up, closed hard last furlong to lead at 100 M and hold off challengers.
2 KUNG FU (CE289) O Doleuze P/H Began nicely, ridden along and showed good dash to cross them, kep them rolling 1-1/2Ls clear, took a breather approaching turn, challenged at 400 M, found plenty holding them off to 100 M before run ended.
6 O'REILLY RALLY (CH266) K L Chui TT1 Even getaway, slotted in behind the speed, lost ground at bend to be 2 wide 5Ls back, bumped on circle, reluctant to shift out and raced greenly in straight, put it together last 200 M and finished hard late. Promising debut.
4 LIFELINE PEGASUS (CH067) D Whyte TT1 Away with line, 3 wide early before slotting in 1 out 1 back 3Ls back, enjoyed a dream trail to bend, followed eventual winner on turning, lacked a dash in straight but kept on solidly to make the frame.
14 REWARDING STAR (CG234) Y T Cheng -- Reasonable break, didn't have speed early and posted 3 wide without cover from midpoint, always working 4 to 5Ls back, still wide in 6th leaving bend, stuck to task well and held ground creditably last 300 M.
11 GENERAL SPEEDEE (CG193) W M Lai TT Slowly into stride, regathered to race towards rear 7Ls down on rails, continued to improve on circle, awkwardly placed at 500 M, steadily closed between runners in the straight to be nearest at finish.
13 HAPPY SUNDAY (CE169) K T Yeung B-/V1/TT First to hit ground, crossed to rails but outpaced and forced to take trail behind leader on rails, moved 2 wide leaving circle, applied pressure at 400 M, there to 200 M but run ended and weakened out thereafter.
1 VIVA FIGHTER (CG307) D Beadman B Even break, settled down in 2 wide line amongst horses in midfield, had fair run 6Ls back, steadied at 1000 M, took a 3 wide trail at 600 M, didn't handle bend well, closed off only at same speed in straight.
12 CASH MONEY (CH030) C W Wong -- Bounced out well, faded back from widest alley, ended up 8Ls back on rails, not asked on bend, still well back turning in, managed to pass a few tired runners in straight but never really threatened.
10 CLOVIS (CH044) D Nikolic XB1 Slow to begin, raced at rear 10Ls off speed, outpaced in early part and detached from pack, stuck to rails and got closer on bend, kept to inside in stretch and did best work late to get past a few (cut left heel).
9 CARELESS WHISPER (CE123) C K Tong XB Out in line, no speed shown early and took a sit on rails behind midfield, 5 to 6Ls back and had a quiet time to bend, kept to fence and didn't have much room at 400 M to 200 M, only battled when clear.
5 HEART TO HEART (CH160) E Saint-Martin XB- Began evenly from inside alley, showed enough to hold a nice spot 4Ls back on fence, had easy trip on circle, struggling on turning when asked to improve, dropped out in straight. (Blood in trachea.)
7 ROCKALOT (CH163) M W Leung -- Awkwardly away and lost valuable ground, ended up detached at rear more than 12Ls away, always struggling to keep up, still last into straight, did little in run to line passing a beaten horse.
8 TELECOM PERFECT (CH121) G Mosse -- Moderate beginning, settled in rearward division, raced 3 wide 8Ls from top end, urged along on bend, found little when asked and only plodded in straight (cut left front heel).
