6 EGYPTIAN RA (CE002) E Saint-Martin -- Amongst first few to break, drove clear to lead them, overraced and was 2Ls clear throughout, kept tempo solid and still held advantage leaving bend, kicked hard and made rest chase, defied them to score easily in handy time.
3 MAVERICK STAR (CE279) Y T Cheng -- Respectable beginning, pressed on when caught wide to race 2Ls back outside leader, did share of work chasing solid pace, right there on bend, challenged briefly at 300 M but found winner too good. Stuck to task well for 2nd.
12 CARRIZO CREEK (CE132) F Coetzee B Moderate getaway, settled behind midfield 2 wide 7Ls back, helped by fast speed, eased 3 wide on bend, gave a big start at top of straight, didn't avoid task and pulled plenty of ground back to finish a solid 3rd from impossible spot.
5 BULLISH CASH (CH049) B Prebble TT Taken back from unfavourable draw, ended up 2 wide 12Ls back at rear, helped by solid speed, came 3 wide with trail on bend, gave too great a start turning but made up plenty of ground last 300 M to make frame.
1 RIVER JORDAN (CG194) D Beadman TT Even jump, allowed to fade back to settle amongst rearward few, raced 2 wide 10Ls from them, wide from 1000 M, still well back at 400 M, made many lengths in straight but run ended at 250 M. Held on fairly thereafter.
11 NOBLE HEART (CC355) C K Tong B/TT No speed from outset and taken back to expected spot in last trio, raced 10Ls back on rails, helped by racing situations, gave start turning in, steadily made ground without threatening to be closest on the line.
8 CALIFORNIA BISHOP (CD351) K L Chui TT First to hit ground, rolled on but outpaced and had to be content with spot behind leader, carted along at a fast tempo 3Ls back well clear of rest, close enough on turning but couldn't sprint again, run ended at 200 M.
10 BEING FAMOUS (CD018) G Mosse B Restrained from a wide alley, raced at tail 12Ls from pace, not asked throughout, kept to rails and saved ground on bend, still last turning in, switched out and made some progress but never really competitive.
9 PRETTY TRIO (CB343) W M Lai SR Ordinary jump, regathered to position in running line 6Ls back, had an easy time in midfield with pace on, made some in ground to 200 M before condition gave out, one paced thereafter.
13 LUCKY CHAMPION (CD178) C W Wong -- Well enough to beginning, took up a spot in front of midfield 5Ls from pace group, helped by tempo but had to cart field up on circle, made some headway but run ended at 200 M and was one paced thereafter.
2 TOM'S SIX (CG264) D Dunn V Average getaway, regathered to be in midfield on rails 6Ls back in 7th, suited by speed and not required to do extra to bend, kept to paint in straight but only battled last 300 M. (Mucopus in trachea.)
14 LONDON EXPRESS (CH107) M W Leung -- Little speed from barrier amongst rear division 8Ls from lead on rails, no excuses in run, saved ground on bend, showed little when pressured and gradually lost touch in straight.
7 SIR LAGO (CH268) A Delpech -- Moderate beginning, took a spot in front of midfield 5Ls back in 5th, had a ground saving trip on rails, pushed along on turning, found nothing on straightening and just plodded to line.
