11 NAMJONG GOODLUCK (CE267) B Prebble BO-/B2 3-wide with cover in midfield about 4Ls off pace at halfway, 2Ls down in 5th turning for home and led about 200 M out, always doing just enough to win.
10 DASH (CG236) W M Lai B1 Pushed along to dispute early pace out 2-wide, led by a neck at top of homestretch, headed at 200 M but stayed on well for pressure to hang on for 2nd.
13 EVER KING (CE147) Y T Cheng V/TT Slowest away, 5-back on fence in 12th about 6Ls off speed down the back, only marginally closer at top of home straight, ran on strongly especially inside final 50 M to take 3rd.
3 BOLD CHAMPION (CG127) C K Tong B/TT- 3-wide with cover about 7Ls back in 10th at 1200 M, headway to be 3Ls back in midfield at home bend, 2Ls down in 4th at 200 M, appeared certain to place 50 M out but caught on the line.
14 KA KA SMART (CG042) H W Lai B Mostly 5th or 6th with cover about 2Ls or 3Ls from the lead until home turn, largely one-paced in the finish and had his chance to place.
9 SILLY BOY (CC094) K T Yeung B/TT Had the run of the race on fence 2Ls off pace in 3rd at 1200 M, still bang there at top of home straight, plugged on at the one speed in the finish.
4 SUPER FANTASY (CD162) K L Chui TT Over-raced early on worse than midfield about 6Ls off pace, held up for a run turning for home, 3Ls down in mid-division at 200 M but couldn't improve any further.
12 CHEERFUL HAPPINESS (CE220) M Nunes V/XB Always caught 3-wide no cover about 2Ls back at 1000 M in 6th or so, pressed on to go 1L back in 2nd at final turn, all out to hold this spot at 200 M but tired late.
7 PURE ALPHA (CH008) F Coetzee -- Slow to begin and slid inside from wide gate, 7Ls back in 13th at halfway, edged a little closer taking home turn, never likely to finish any better than mid-pack.
1 SUPER CEE JAY (CG289) D Nikolic B 2-wide and 5Ls back in 8th at 1200 M, still tucked away in midfield off home turn, failed to quicken up and beaten at the 200 M.
5 BAJAN BELL (CG142) D Whyte B Switched from wide gate to race 4-back on fence about 5Ls back in 9th at 1000 M, about 4Ls back in same position taking home turn, never likely to land a blow. (Lame next day.)
6 GEM POWER (CH013) G Mosse TT Awkward break, 3-back on fence about 4Ls off pace in midfield at 1000 M, similarly placed on straightening, always held by principals.
8 ARISTOCRACY (CG070) C W Wong B2 Driven along to vie for early lead on fence, 1L ahead at 800 M and hung out on the circle, overhauled at top of homestretch and faded out rapidly. (Mucus.)
2 LAZY BUDDIES (CC208) O Doleuze B 8Ls last at the 1200 M, no closer taking home turn, never competitive and eased down a long way out.
