13 GREAT GUY (CH112) K L Chui TT Bounced out, took up a prime position on leaders back, enjoyed run of race to bend, 2Ls down on turning, responded to pressure and charged from 200 M relishing going to gap rivals and score with ease.
10 DON FELIPE (CD273) D Whyte -- Steady jump, didn't have early pace but raced not far away 4Ls back on rails, had a quiet run to bend, eased out at 400 M and closed gradually making good ground last 200 M, found winner too good on day.
12 KINDACROSS (CG041) H W Lai TT Awkwardly away but regathered and showed plenty of dash to cross and lead, rolled along at an even clip, 1 to 2Ls clear rounding for home, kicked hard and defied them to 200 M before overhauled.
1 EGYPTIAN RA (CE002) B Prebble -- Away well, didn't have usual speed, travelled more comfortably at leader's heels 1L back in 2 wide line, carted field up and still 2nd turning, struggled to dash in straight but held on well to make frame.
14 CALCANDO (CE232) W M Lai XB/TT Out with rest, pressed on to race 2 to 3 wide 2Ls off lead, followed an even speed and did share of work to bend, 3rd turning in and tried gamely but couldn't get closer with run ending last 100 M.
6 DISGUISE (CG004) S Dye B No speed and restrained from a wide alley, raced 3 wide with cover 7Ls back behind midfield, steadily improved to be 8th switching 4 wide turning, closed best of beaten brigade but never really likely.
2 IMPERIAL APPLAUSE (CG209) D Nikolic -- Lost ground on jumping, drove up to settle down in behind midfield 6Ls down on rails, not asked in mid-section, ridden along on turning, kept to inside and made some headway from an impossible spot. Never threatened.
9 AMPLE GAINS (CE021) C K Tong -- Little early pace, ended up close to tail, raced 2 wide 10Ls away in mid-section, ridden along to improve on bend, well back on turning, passed some tired horses making some late headway.
7 SUNNY KING (CH105) E Saint-Martin XB/H/TT Reasonable jump, raced 3 wide 5 to 6Ls back in midfield, covered ground to bend, urged along in 9th turning in, made some progress but never competitive.
8 CHEERFUL MASTER (CE309) K T Yeung B/TT Standard break, pushed on to race 3 wide in midfield 5Ls off pace, helped by speed in middle stages, gradually improved but couldn't make impact from 400 M and faded out in straight.
4 DORDENMA (CE333) Y T Cheng XB Ordinary break, raced behind midfield 2 wide 7Ls back, helped by tempo in mid-section, still well back switching 3 wide on turning, lacked a finish and just plodded to line.
11 HERE WE GO (CH247) M Nunes TT Crowded early and ended up towards rear, raced back on rails, urged along to hold position throughout, came 2 wide on circle, found little when asked just plodding to line.
5 STRONG GAIN (CE317) G Mosse XB Poor beginning, settled at rear 12Ls from lead, never really comfortable, well back with job to do on bend, switched wide but made no progress in straight.
3 ALPHA MAIL (CG286) F Coetzee B Away well, ridden closer than usual 3Ls back in 2 wide line, had reasonable trip on back of speed, under pressure turning, faded out tamely to be well beaten. (Jockey advised didn't handle track.)
