11 CRUSADER OF GOLD (CE188) A Delpech B Restrained from outside alley, raced at rear on rails 9 to 10Ls away, helped by fast tempo, still well back approaching bend, saved ground and angled into clear at 300 M, produced a big sprint to score comfortably in finish.
9 MAVERICK (CE199) W M Lai TT Began evenly, outpaced and ended up in midfield 4 to 5Ls back, tracked nicely in mid-section, peeled 4-wide turning, made good run and looked chance at 200 M but couldn't match winner late.
6 NASA PEARL (CC068) O Doleuze -- Lacked pace as usual, ended up in rearward division 8Ls back on rails, assisted by solid speed on at front end, saved ground on fence, in traffic at 300 M, closed nicely along fence when clear to snatch 3rd.
1 SAFETY FIRST (CG161) G Mosse B/TT Began in time, pressed on and took slot behind leader, not given a rest with solid speed on, right there but no run on turning, hit front briefly at 300 M out, lacked the dash but plugged steadily for 4th.

10 COURAGEOUSHEART (CD202) Z Purton B/TT Began ok but couldn't get closer than 4Ls back on fence, had a good run in mid-section, had something to offer but behind tired horses turning to 200 M, finished off creditably when clear.
13 FLORAL NIRVANA (CH232) F Coetzee TT No pace early, drifted back to share rear 9 to 10 Ls back in 2-wide spot, helped by fast pace on, well back and switched widest in straight, made good late progress from an impossible spot.
14 GREEN IN BLUE (CD117) S K Sit B Standard jump, checked at 1500 M, raced wide with cover 7 to 8Ls back, further back than usual, helped by tempo, still well back to bend, switched to middle and finished off fairly after being set a task.
4 KINGSGATE GLORY (CH020) K Shea B-/V1/TT Awkwardly away, mustered to slot in nicely 2Ls back in prime position, didn't have an easy time with solid pace, eased out and challenged strongly at 300 M but condition gave out quickly and knocked up.
3 INDUSTRIAL SUCCESS (CC317) C W Wong -- Away reasonably, pushed on to race on the back of pace group, had an easy trip 2-wide 4 to 5Ls away, had chance when run appeared at 300 M, finished only with one speed.
12 CONNOISSEUR'S LOVE (CD234) M Nunes B Well enough to begin, went on but unable to slot in and raced 3-wide without cover 2 to 3Ls away, had a tough run on circle, struggling soon after straightening and dropped out late.
5 TACTIC KING (CG081) H W Lai B/TT Showed customary pace to take up running, lead them and pressed throughout at a solid tempo, shaded on turning, capitulated easily and was soundly beaten.
