2 1 SILVER BLAZE (CJ149) B Prebble -- Broke nicely, slotted into coveted 1 out 1 back slot 2Ls away, had a fair run behind speed on bend, took run between horses at 300 M and closed off nicely for a narrow 2nd.
3 10 SUPERNOVA (CJ032) Z Purton SR Out in line, settled 3Ls away on rails, not used in middle stages, continued to save ground turnig in, took inside runs and did best work late for 3rd.
4 8 LIONS' FORTUNE (CJ114) O Doleuze -- Tardy to begin, raced 7Ls back 2 wide, very green in middle stages, made a 3 wide run from 600 M, carried 6 wide turning, made plenty of ground down outside in straight to make frame. Solid debut.
5 9 MEDALLION (CG322) M Nunes SR/TT Slow into stride, settled towards rear on rails racing 8Ls back in last spot, still well back on bend but saved ground on inside, made many lengths along rails to be closest on line.
6 5 BROTHERS IN ARMS (CJ070) G Boss -- Away in line, pressed on to cross outisde leader, applied pressure throughout, continued to share lead on turning, couldn't find extra gear on turning and just kept on at same pace.
7 6 LUCKY QUALITY (CH134) Y T Cheng TT Easily fastest out, led with ease, pressured throughout and kept pace honest, still in contest for lead on circle, kicked to 250 M but ran out of petrol and dropped off last furlong.
8 11 GOLDEN TREASURE (CJ087) D Whyte -- Restrained from a wide gate, ended up 6Ls back racing 3 wide, had a reasonable run to bend, still back between horses on bend, made good ground in straight but gave too much start to threaten.
9 3 CHEEKY LAD (CG198) K L Chui V Jumped with them, took a midfield spot 4Ls back in running line, shifted back in mid-section, 6Ls down on turning, unable to make much progress in straight but did pass a few late.
10 7 GOOD TIME CHARLIE (CJ207) G Mosse -- Standard getaway raced 4 to 5Ls back on rails, raced greenly throughout and was difficult to settle, still back behind midfield turning, made limited progress in straight.
11 12 MAGI JOY (CH056) H W Lai V-/B2/TT- Out with rest, trapped 3 and 4 wide in midfield, pressed on to be outside leaders always working without cover, right there on turning but soon under pressure and weakened quickly from 300 M.
12 13 MOSHI MOSHI (CG255) F Coetzee CP/XB/TT Away in line, obtained a forward spot 3 wide close to lead, did work without cover in mid-section, still there on turning, couldn't turn up a notch and weakened out in straight.
13 4 VIENTO (CH181) W M Lai -- Began in line, raced 4 wide early and pushed 5 wide on bend, always working 3 to 4Ls back without cover, offered little in straight when hard run took toll.
14 14 GRAND GENERAL (CJ113) M Du Plessis -- Fair beginning, raced 3 wide amongst horses, 4Ls back in midfield, had cover throughout, didn't settle and struggling on bend, found little in straight.
