11 BROTHERS IN ARMS (CJ070) Z Purton -- Out with them, took a trail on rails 7Ls off tearaway leader, always in 3rd position, travelled well turning, gradually improved at 300 M, made good ground final 200 M to take lead and score well.
13 LUCKY QUALITY (CH134) O Doleuze -- Poor getaway, rushed forward shortly after start, circled field quickly and set up a 6Ls lead, set a solid tempo to bend, still well clear and held advantage to 100 M before tiring. Huge run.
2 GOOD GAINS (CJ293) B Prebble -- Away fairly, ended up 8Ls off tearaway leader just behind first few, eased into clear on turning, made good progress final furlong to snatch 3rd late. Nice debut.
1 KING PRAWN SUPREME (CJ076) F Coetzee B2 Began smartly, took a spot behind pace 7Ls from leader, raced first without cover throughout, gradually improved turning in, kept coming and just lost place battle late.
14 PRESTO (CJ048) D Whyte -- Standard break, ended up 3 wide behind midfield 10Ls off front, did it tough without cover throughout, still well back on turning, made remarkable ground last 300 M to finish 5th.
4 WINE WIN (CG018) D Beadman -- First to hit ground, forced to follow a hot speed with leader 6Ls clear, kept chasing rounding bend, stuck to task to 200 M but emptied out soon after.
9 ROCKET POWER (CH136) K L Chui B/TT Moderate jump, took a midfield spot, had a fair run with speed on, gave a big start at 400 M, closed soundly without threatening.
10 FLY HIGH (CH126) H W Lai -- Well enough away, assumed a midfield role 8 to 9Ls back in 2 wide line, no excuses to bend, lacked a finishing burst and just battled away in straight.
6 FAVOURITE SUPREME (CH203) Y T Cheng B/TT Moderate jump, ridden along to race 10Ls back on fence, aided by a strong speed, still had job to do on turning, made some headway but just held ground last 200 M.
7 CENTURY SUPER STAR (CE070) W M Lai BO Began in line, posted a little wide in midfield 9Ls back, shifted 4 wide on bend, urged along at 400 M, peaked on run at 200 M and battled away thereafter.
3 OCEAN TRANQUIL (CE155) C K Tong PC-/B2 Taken back from a wide gate, ended up at rear a long way from front, pace suited but set enormous task still last turning, passed a few beaten runners late.
8 SOUNDS FANTASTIC (CH146) K T Yeung TT Jumped OK but faded back from outset, at rear in 2 wide line 12Ls or more from speed, had pace to suit, too far back on bend, did make a little ground but made no serious impression.
5 CONFUCIUS CLASSIC (CJ141) E Saint-Martin -- Restrained from outset, raced close to rear on rails, overraced in mid-section, well back turning, made minimal headway in stretch.
12 FLYING SPRINTER (CD021) B Doyle -- Taken back from widest draw, ended up 3 wide sharing rear, had cover but did share of work to bend, never got into it.
