1 5 BOLD DECISION (CK047) D Whyte -- Checked soon after the start then travelled well off the outside fence. Moved to challenge the leaders inside the furlong, and found plenty in the run to the wire.
2 3 SHY BALDY (CH168) H W Lai TT Tracked the leaders early before surging ahead near the 250. Let down strongly be in front , but was mowed down close to the line.
3 8 DOUBLE DRAGON (CK019) C W Wong -- Tracked the speed and (looked likely to figure in the finish) closed off well but received some interference near the final 200.
4 11 GRAND DRAGON (CK064) G Mosse -- Began on terms and after having travelled about 100 M, was steadied and shifted out to join the bulk of the field towards centre of track. Was under pressure after the 400 M, drifted out slightly, kept on and had every chance.
5 13 REGENCY KINGDOM (CK031) D Beadman TT1 Caught behind the front runners, didn't do too much when out into the clear.
6 2 WASABISABI (CJ221) B Prebble -- Raced midfield but was disappointing it failure to run on. (See Racing Incident.)
7 4 PAR EXCELLENCE (CK020) E Saint-Martin -- Slow into stride then scooted up a long the rails to chase the leader. Didn't do much thereafter.
8 12 NATURAL FLAME (CK016) K L Chui -- Raced behind midfield along the rails. Didn't get a lot of room over the final stages and was checked on the post.
9 7 DAILY DOUBLE (CK043) B Doyle -- Raced towards the outside fence in a midfield position. Struggled over the concluding stages.
10 6 CHAIN WIN (CJ315) W C Marwing -- Worked forward to lead.. Failed to quicken when asked for an effort inside 400 M and tired near the final 100 M.
11 1 RAIN CHECK (CH254) F Coetzee -- Broke well then raced solo along the inside fence. Gave little in the run home.
12 10 GIVE WELL (CJ109) Y T Cheng H-/B1 Travelled early along the middle of the track before diving out in search of running. However after having done so, became held up for the remainder of the event. (See Racing Incident.)
13 14 WERREADY (CK022) M Du Plessis -- Travelled with the main bunch early hard up against the rail. Had well and truly detached from the field by the 800 M. No impression thereafter.
14 9 EXTRACTIVE (CJ247) Z Purton XB1 Raced towards the rear down the middle of the track, weakened soon after the 350 M.
