10 PERFECT MATCH (CJ072) D Whyte B 3-back on fence about 4Ls off pace in 5th at halfway, 3Ls back off last bend and still with work to do at 200 M, kept on to lead inside final 50 M.
12 ZEPHYRUS (CH285) M Du Plessis B/TT Keen early on in 4th about 2Ls from the pace, still 2Ls back in 2nd from last turn to furlong pole, kept on but couldn't match the winner's stamina.
4 JOLLY WONGCHOY (CH076) Y T Cheng B/TT Went to an early lead and well rated in front about 2Ls to the good through to the 200 M, stamina quickly gave way and only barely held onto 3rd.
14 LOHAN (CH279) W M Lai B 7Ls down in 10th or so through first half about 5Ls adrift turning in, stayed on well late and only just missed 3rd, appears better suited to this distance.
5 CRUSH ON YOU (CH065) E Saint-Martin -- Slowest away, well behind in rear when checked 1100 M out, one from rear and 8Ls down on straightening, made minor late headway past tired rivals.
2 SAMBUOYANT (CE172) Z Purton B Went back from wide gate, still 7Ls away from the pace entering home straight, never likely to figure despite retrieving a little late ground.
6 HAPPY ALL AROUND (CD248) K L Chui TT Worse than midfield about 7Ls off pace at 1200 M and only marginally closer into last section, didn't find very much under pressure. (Tactic questioned.)
8 BROWN BEAUTY (CC029) O Doleuze B Checked early on, 4-back along the rails about 6Ls from the initial tempo, edged slightly nearer but ridden along wheeling for home, held thereafter.
11 KEEN SPIRIT (CJ022) C K Tong B/TT Keen early on when box-seating on the rails in 3rd place, pressured to maintain this proximity at the last bend, yielded ground before furlong pole.
1 ELECTRONICS SPUR (CE285) F Coetzee B/TT 2-wide and 1L back in 2nd at the 1600 M, 2Ls back in 2nd and hard pressed to stay in touch taking final curve, slipped out of contention.
9 MEATH (CE143) M L Yeung SR/V 3-wide no cover throughout and no better than midfield at least 6Ls or so from the speed.
13 CLASSIC KING (CD256) H W Lai B/TT Prominent but keen early, retreated to be 7Ls back in 9th at the 1000 M, briefly loomed a threat at the final corner but the run was short-lived.
7 HOLIGAN (CH003) W C Marwing XB1 Very poor run, slowly away and always in rear at least 8Ls from the pace, in trouble as far out as the 600 M.
3 GENIUS MASTER (CJ117) B Doyle B/SR1 Very wide without cover on first bend, 2-wide with cover in midfield down the back about 4Ls from speed, faded rapidly in home straight.
