2 JAMESINA (CH290) D Whyte CP/TT Drifted back to a rearward position after start and travelled comfortably in early and middle stages, shaken up rounding the home bend, squeezed through a gap inside 200 M and quickened well to win with something in hand.
8 REALLY HAPPY (CJ165) K L Chui TT Held a position in midfield, travelled well along the fence to straight, momentarily steadied twice near 200 M, finished well when cleared. Ran decently in his seasonal reappearance.
6 FAT DRAGON (CD130) M L Yeung -- Drawn low, pushed along the rail to hold a prominent position just behind leader, tracked well to bend, loomed up as a serious danger when hitting the front 200 M out, kept on but effort just flattened out close home.
9 CONGRATS (CG298) Y T Cheng TT Slow to begin, parked into a 2-wide position midfield, moved closer towards the home turn, shifted out for a clear run inside 300 M, ran on well in the finish but was firmly put aside by the winner.
11 BOUNCER (CJ074) O Doleuze B/TT Awkwardly away, drifted to the back and remained there to turn, taken wide for a clear passage approaching home straight, ran on strongly down the outside and made up plenty of ground.
12 REWARDING STAR (CG234) W C Marwing TT Slow into stride, unable to cross early and was taken back near 1600 M for cover, unsettled by the slow pace and over- raced in middle stages, taken wide to challenge, stayed on OK but never looked like catching the runners on the inside.
3 HAIL THE STORM (CE125) J Victoire V In a midfield position but was caught travelling wide without cover, niggled along making the home turn, ran on evenly in the finish. Not beaten far.
10 HOLD HANDS (CH116) C K Tong -- Awkwardly away and lost ground, settled on the rail in a rearward position 4-5Ls back, kept to inside on straightening but was held up near 200 M, ran on OK when cleared 150 M.
5 SILVER SUN (CE126) P H Lo -- Quickly away from the wide barrier, crossed before the 1st turn and led them slowly to bend, pressed by another runner passing 600 M, kept on in straight before fading away passing 150 M.
7 GREAT LAND'S STAR (CJ294) M Du Plessis XB Jumped well, in a handy position just behind leaders, hampered by the slow pace down the back straight and was sent alongside leader passing the Rock, couldn't pick up on straightening and was swamped inside 200 M.
4 LU YUE (CH278) B Prebble B2/H Made some use to go forward early, settled prominently behind leader, under pressure on turning and failed to deliver a finish in straight. (Questioned.)
PU 1 PLASTIC POLYMER (CH034) J Winks TT1 Slowly away, soon racing detached in the rear, eased out of the race on the 1st turn.
