12 VANQUISH DELIGHT (CJ257) W C Marwing H 3-back the fence 3Ls or 4Ls from pace in 5th or so until the 600 M, pressured before home turn, stayed on dourly along rails to lead very late on.
4 OASIS DAVIS (CK138) M W Leung SR Slow out, 4-back the fence (behind winner) until home turn when 4Ls back in mid-division, finished off strongly, winning post came a fraction too soon.
3 KINGSTON WINNER (CC024) D Whyte B Close-up in 3rd or 4th no further than 2-1/2Ls behind lead through to final bend, briefly led inside the furlong pole, caught by quinella pair late.
6 MULTI MILLIONS (CD207) G Mosse SR 2-wide and 5Ls off pace in 8th or so until the final quarter, ran on well and narrowly missed a place.
8 EVERGREEN (CE106) W M Lai B Taken back to race one from rear at least 6Ls from the front until straightening for the line, ran on well, nearest at the finish. (Tactic questioned.)
7 DASHING CHAMPION (CC015) K C Leung SR Away well from wide gate and led by 1L on fence at the 1200 M, 2Ls clear off the final turn, headed about 100 M out, swamped in final strides.
11 STRIKING MASCOT (CH154) E Saint-Martin B/TT1 Caught 3-wide no cover throughout in midfield position about 4Ls from the pace, always held in the stretch after the tough passage.
5 WONG'S FAVOURITE (CG131) P H Lo SR/V Slowly away and held 10th position at least 5Ls from the lead for most of the race, recovered fair late ground without threatening.
2 DANABAA (CH007) M L Yeung B-/V1 Box-seated on rails 2Ls off pace in 2nd or 3rd through to home straight, one-paced when it mattered and no excuses for not doing better.
9 WHATAFANTASY (CH267) O Doleuze B 3-wide but with cover in 9th at least 5Ls from the speed at halfway, same turning for home, found zero off the bridle.
10 FOREVER FORTUNE (CG145) D Beadman B 9Ls last at the 1000 M and no better off swinging for home, never on terms.
1 PACIFICO (CJ285) J Winks -- 2-wide and 1L back in 2nd at the 1200 M, began to lose touch on the circle and dropped out sharply in the run home, performance deemed unacceptable. (See Racing Incidents.)
