9 SURE GAIN (CJ038) W C Marwing H1/TT1 Nice trail 3Ls back in 5th with cover 1200 M out, popped out 3-wide no cover 700 M out when 1L back, upsides 200 M out, all out to hang on.
10 NOBLE TWINS (CH257) W M Lai B Enjoyed the run of the race about 2Ls back in 3rd or so until straightening, stayed on well in the finish but couldn't quite overhaul the winner.
6 GENIUS MASTER (CJ117) K C Leung SR On the leader's back on fence 2Ls off in 4th or so through to final turn, given every possible chance to win, did enough to place.
8 ALL FOR ONE (CH180) J Winks -- Looped field to lead on fence 1400 M out, set sensible pace, clear by no more than 1L until last turn, joined 200 M out, no real excuse for not placing.
2 OCTAGONAL CANYON (CJ055) D Whyte -- 2-wide in midfield about 4Ls or so from the speed until the last turn when with place prospects, no pick-up and always held through the final 300 M.
1 TRAVEL LEADER (CD226) P H Lo CP Awkward start, 10th initially about 7Ls from the lead, 5Ls last at the 600 M, not suited by tempo and ran on past a few spent rivals only.
4 DECENT FELLOW (CH021) B Prebble B/H/TT Off the bit at halfway as usual when worse than midfield, 5Ls back in 9th turning for home, no impression, flat performance. (Questioned for poor performance.)
11 GLOBAL WAY (CG158) H W Lai V Slow out and keen at first, wide without cover before slipping into 'one-out-one-back' spot at 1200 M, a neck 2nd off last turn, faded out tamely.
5 REAL REJOICING (CH202) O Doleuze B/TT Very slow to muster early pace in rear, 4Ls or so back in 8th at halfway, soon came off the bit again and very weak in the final two furlongs.
7 SAMMY'S FORTUNE (CH204) Z Purton TT Raced 3 and 4-back on the rails around midfield and about 4Ls from the speed until the last bend, found nothing off the bridle.
12 SUPER POWER (CH117) M Chadwick TT Always rearward, 5Ls last at the 800 M and widest off final bend, offered nothing.
3 KEEN SPIRIT (CJ022) J Lloyd CP1/TT 8Ls last at 1200 M, pressed on out 4-wide no cover down back straight but hung out and laboured on the circle, gone off the home turn.
