1 5 MY HOME TOWN (CH331) O Doleuze -- Standard jump, taken to rails soon after, enjoyed a soft trip on rails 3Ls or so away, improved turning, took inside runs in straight and overtook rivals with a strong finish, won with something in hand.
2 2 FLUKE (CJ061) H W Lai -- Drifted back from a wide alley, ended up behind midfield 5Ls or so, still well back with job to do on bend, made a 5 wide run straightening and closed hard down middle for 2nd.
3 11 FORTUNE HAVEN (CK146) W C Marwing SR Out in line, pressed forward but trapped 4 wide without cover, allowed to stride forward to race outside leader by midpoint, continued to work shading inside horse, went to front turning but hard run took toll final 100 M.
4 4 LUMINOUS (CE300) K C Leung -- Amongst first to break, held a prominent spot on leaders back, did some work with solid speed, 2Ls down on bend, took run on turning and looked a place chance at 200 M, peaked on efforts late.
5 9 YOUNG HERO (CH071) B Prebble CP1 Standard jump, positioned in midfield in 2 wide line 4Ls or so away, enjoyed easy time in mid-section, made a 4 wide run on turning, made even progress to be nearest on line.
6 12 HIGH INTELLIGENT (CD317) M W Leung B/TT Out with first few, pressed on early to hold a prominent spot, had cover when crossed at midpoint, 1L down on turning, unable to lift when required and just battled away late.
7 6 CHATER SILK (CG050) D Whyte B Standard getaway, drifted back to share rear 6Ls or so from lead, difficult to settle early, improved 2 wide at rock, continued run between horses turning, kept on only fairly final 200 M.
8 10 COUNTRY MAGIC (CH069) K L Chui TT Bounced out well, took ideal position 1 out 1 back, in mid-section used some resources with even tempo, close enough turning, unable to find extra gear and struggled final furlong.
9 1 DEFERENTIAL (CH328) C K Tong PC-/TT No early pace and allowed to slide back from outside draw, shared rear 6Ls or so away, difficult to settle in mid-section, checked on turning, made no serious progress in straight.
10 8 JUGGERNAUT (CJ019) E Saint-Martin B/TT Away with them, displayed customary speed to cross and lead, didn't relax in front and did share of work with pressure from outside horse, steadied turning and gradually weakened out.
11 3 STRAWBERRY (CK182) P H Lo CP1 Standard break, drifted back to race behind midfield 5Ls or so away on rails, not made use of in mid-section, still well back and saved ground on turning, no impression in straight.
12 7 BILLION (CH316) Y T Cheng -- Amongst first to leave gates, went forward to take closer order, unable to drop in and did plenty of work without cover throughout, struggling on bend and dropped right out after hard run. (See Racing Incidents.)
