1 LEGEND OF COLOUR (CK003) Z Purton B Faded back soon after start, raced in rear division 6Ls off speed, had fair run throughout, well back between horses turning, weaved passage through and sprouted wings over final 100 M to draw away with some in hand.
6 HAIL THE STORM (CE125) J Winks V Amongst first few out, pushed on to hold ideal spot behind leaders, tracked well to bend, into clear turning and challenged strongly, hit lead inside 200 M but run down in concluding stages.
11 INTERCHINA STAR (CJ226) M Chadwick TT Began well, took prime position 1 out 1 back, used little in run, appreciated easy sections, right there on bend, challenged soon after straightening, battled strongly final 300 M to just miss 2nd.
7 HOME TREASURE (CJ208) M Du Plessis -- Out in line, showed usual pace to take position outside leader, travelled comfortably with standard sections, shaded leader on bend, took over on straightening, kept to task and lost place late.
10 LU YUE (CH278) Y T Cheng B/H First to hit ground, set standard sections upon taking lead, shaded by outside horse on bend, headed on straightening, kept on respectably to be not far away in finish.
12 BLUE SKY (CJ289) D Dunn PC/H Began with rest, ended up in midfield 3 to 4Ls away in 2 wide line, had trouble free run to bend, steadied on turning didn't find when required once clear and just held ground in straight.
2 GEM OF CHIU TON (CJ188) H W Lai B Moderate jump, settled in last few 6Ls or so from lead racing 3 wide with cover, still well back and had job to do turning, kept giving and made fair ground without threatening.
4 PRESTO (CJ048) D Whyte -- Began OK, unable to slot in from an outside draw, had cover racing 3 wide 5Ls back, improved approaching turn, kept on soundly in straight holding ground without really looking likely.
3 DISGUISE (CG004) J Lloyd B Lost ground at jump, regathered to race 5Ls back on rails, had a fair run in mid-section, improved along inside turning, made no serious headway.
8 BOOK OF KELLS (CK255) S K Sit -- Began with rest, ended up 4Ls off speed in midfield, no excuses in run, saved ground on turning, struggling on turning and found little under pressure, weakened 200 M.
5 GRAND CRU (CG265) W C Marwing V Ordinary break, overraced and moved forward to race 3 wide without cover at 100 M, 3Ls off lead on bend, hard run took toll in straight and faded out thereafter.
9 GALAXY TREASURE (CK220) O Doleuze XB/TT No early speed, situated near to rear 7Ls off speed on rails, always rearward and struggling on turning, made no impression in straight.
13 AMPLE GAINS (CE021) C K Tong B/TT Taken back from an awkward draw, raced 7Ls away at tail, still last turning in, battled away making very little progress.
