5 4 EIGHT PLUS NINE (CH259) M L Yeung B Settled rearward after an awkward start, trapped on the fence coming off the bend, gradually angled out for a clear run, stayed on well in the closing stages.
6 12 BELONG TO CASA (CJ064) K W Leung -- Showed good early pace to lead, headed inside 300 M but despite urging, found little left in reserves in the run to the line.
7 8 DARPANA (CK256) W Pike XB-/B/TT Taken back from the wide barrier, raced in last about 10Ls behind leader, took time to muster speed in straight and started to pick up inside 200 M.
8 11 WINNER SMART (CK029) W M Lai -- Away in line, keen in early stages and had to be restrained, 2-deep in midfield making the turn, ran on only fairly in straight.
9 9 GOUF (CJ227) C W Wong B-/TT Settled 2-wide in a position behind midfield, 7Ls adrift of the leader passing 400 M, kept on at the same pace, never threatened.
10 3 MASCOT FORTUNE (CH221) J Lloyd -- Interfered near 1100 M and was unable to slot in, 3-wide behind midfield making the home turn, lacked a change of pace when required, weakened inside 200 M.
11 5 GOOD LUCK WIN (CK004) H W Lai B/XB/TT Standard break only, rushed forward to track leaders in 3rd, ran out of gas approaching 200 M, weakened rapidly.
12 2 DR POSSIBLE (CJ110) D Whyte B1/TT Pushed wide in the early stages and raced without cover for most of the journey, struggled to keep up on straightening, eased. (Abnormal breathing / unacceptable performance.)
