6 1 GO STITCH (CK062) Z Purton B Slightly slow out, held running in midfield 2-wide, gradually angled out for a clear run passing 350 M, stayed on but never looked dangerous.
7 6 PERFECT ATHLETE (CG276) K C Leung -- Held the lead in opening strides and later chased the pace outside leader, driven 300 M out but found nothing under pressure, soon weakened.
8 4 SUPER SPECIAL (CE225) M Chadwick H/TT Couldn't muster speed and soon ended up racing in last trailing 6Ls from the leader, always behind, no impression. (Retired after race.)
9 10 MAGIC PRACTITIONER (CK125) Y T Cheng B Taken back on jumping from the wide barrier, settled 2nd last 5Ls away from the pace, shifted out abruptly entering the home straight, hung in under pressure and didn't have a clear crack until halfway down the straight.
10 11 BLUE SAINT (CJ080) T H So -- Up with the early pace but couldn't shift in from the outside, 4-wide and dropped back to midfield entering the turn, had nothing to offer coming out of the bend, soon beaten.
11 7 CHAIN WIN (CJ315) J Lloyd H-/SR1 Even break, rushed forward but unable to cross, 3-wide swinging for home, never picked up on straightening and faded away inside 200 M.
12 8 TAKE IT EASY (CJ029) B Prebble -- Ordinary jump, chased leaders, not responded to urging inside 400 M, soon eased. (Unacceptable performance / lame next morning.)
