8 CONQUEROR (CE270) S K Sit V More prominent than normal in 3rd or 4th down back straight, led at top of home straight, continually hung left under pressure, all out to score. (Questioned for improved performance.)
4 HIGH INTELLIGENT (CD317) J Lloyd B/TT Close to the pace but at least 3 wide no cover through to the final turn, 2Ls back in 4th at 300 M, kept on well for 2nd but couldn't reel in winner.
6 FUN RIDER (CK231) W C Marwing B1 Didn't break well, one from rear about 7Ls behind at halfway, gradually became more involved and finished pretty well to place, better for further.
2 DOUBLE DRAGON (CK019) M Chadwick H/TT On fence and either a neck in front or disputing the pace from start to top of straight, had every chance to at least place, lacked a turn of foot.
7 SPARKLING (CK149) Z Purton -- Midfield with cover with 3Ls striking distance of the speed before turning for home, very one-paced to conclude, might have expected better.
5 PRECISION MAGIC (CJ262) M L Yeung -- Clipped heels early on, rearward 6Ls adrift initially, on heels again and shuffled back to last before home turn, could only run on past beaten rivals.
10 ACCELERATOR (CG179) W M Lai -- No early pace and soon at the tail of the field 8Ls back, 6Ls last turning for home, kept on past a few beaten rivals in conclusion.
12 EAST RIDER (CK283) W Pike TT Tracked the leader on fence in 4th or 5th down the back straight and same turning for home, found nothing when asked to quicken up.
3 COSMO SUCCESSOR (CH118) B Prebble -- Wide sometimes without cover but prominent early on, 2-wide a neck back in 2nd from 800 M to final turn, began to drift back from the 300 M.
1 LEO'S PRIDE (CK094) H W Lai -- Never any better than midfield, initially about 5Ls back with cover at 1000 M, lacklustre performance overall.
11 CLOVIS (CH044) Y T Cheng B-/XB- Slowest out, 3-back on fence 4Ls down in midfield initially and similar off last bend, offered little.
9 OCTAGONAL CANYON (CJ055) K C Leung -- Always rearward, widest turning for home when one from rear and 6Ls behind, ceded further ground.
