10 FAT CHOY OOHLALA (L250) M Guyon B Ordinary break, rushed up to sit behind leader, ideal run in mid section, got inside runs turning, dashed clear and comfortably held a big margin in run to line.
2 SAPELLI (CK191) D Whyte -- Fair to begin, raced just behind midfield, nearly 8ls back, made a 3 wide run from 500m, closed creditably down centre although no match for winner.
5 DANZULU (CJ069) B Prebble B Drifted back from a wider alley, raced 10ls away in running line, in last 4 turning, made good ground final 300m to take 3rd.
7 SEMOS (M125) W C Marwing SR No speed and faded well back from a wide draw, best part of 12ls back on rails, set huge task turning, closed soundly to make frame.
6 LEADING CITY (CK298) D Beadman H Rolled forward as expected to race outside leaders, travelled strongly in mid section, loomed briefly turning but couldn’t improve from 300m and run ended.
11 NORTH HILL (CJ082) W M Lai -- Even getaway, raced 5ls or so away on rails in front of midfield, had all favours in run, stayed on at one speed in straight.
4 MR BOND (M098) O Doleuze -- No much early speed, raced well back on rails, 10ls or so from top end, tracked into race leaving bend, didn’t really see much daylight in straight and kept on evenly to line. (See Racing Incidents.)
8 VIGOR DELIGHT (CK070) C Y Ho P/H Slowly away and lost plenty of ground, raced at rear 2 wide nearly 12ls from leaders, gave big start on straightening, made some minor progress late.
12 WIN PRACTITIONER (CG180) C K Tong -- Moderate beginning, settle behind midfield, 8ls back on rails, soft run thereafter, still had a bit to do turning, made some ground to 200m before run ended.
9 BUSINESS AS USUAL (M057) Z Purton H Bounced nicely, assumed a prominent spot 1 out 1 back, very keen in mid section, niggled turning, didn’t let down in straight and faded out.
1 SOARING DRAGON (CH183) K C Leung B/TT Came across from wide draw to land a spot in running line, midfield throughout 5-6ls or so back, no real excuses thereafter and just lacked required pick up in straight.
13 NEW GLORY (CK304) G Cheyne B2 Plenty of early speed to lead them, kept speed decent in mid section, niggled soon after turning, again failed to see out journey.
3 APPRECIATION (CK161) M L Yeung V/TT Out in line, unable to slot in and posted 3 wide without cover 4LS or so away, did it tough throughout, faded from 400m after hard run.
