3 13 ISLAND SPRING (L238) T Clark H-/CP1 Settled midfield about 5 horses from the grandstand side. Finished off soundly.
4 12 GREY WHIZZ (M070) G Cheyne -- Raced midfield approximately 6 off the outside fence, no cover. Ran on well to finish in the frame.
5 14 MY MELODY (CJ157) M L Yeung B/TT Parked near the pace about 2 off the stand side. Kept whacking away at the same speed over the latter stages.
6 10 REGENCY CHAMPION (N078) G Mosse TT Raced closest to the outside fence behind the speed. Didn't find any extra when asked for an effort passing the 400m, maintained an even gallop to the post.
7 7 GLORY WIN (N051) N Callan -- Settled about 4 horses from the grandstand rail in a prominent position with some cover. Held its ground over the final stages.
8 6 GENUINE LEADER (N046) M Chadwick -- Sluggish at the break settling about 5 horses off the stand side in a handy position without cover. Kept on one paced in the run to the wire.
9 5 DARS AUTO (M418) C W Wong -- Slow to begin then tailed the field along the outside rail. Had trouble keeping up midrace. Was put pressure after the 600m and made gradual ground under constant riding.
10 1 SMART TOUCH (L402) Y T Cheng CP Camped closer to the far side rail in a midfield position without cover. Battled away over the final stages.
11 2 COUNTRY CHARM (M252) T Angland B1 Settled midfield along the grandstand side. Ran into traffic problems after the 400m and never got into clear running and wasn't tested thereafter. (see incident report).
12 8 MASTER RACER (M278) D Beadman -- Missed the start settling back in the field towards the centre of the course. Switched in near the 350m after being held up and finished off one paced.
13 11 VITAL SMART (M104) O Doleuze -- Travelled midfield nearer the rail side, had cover. Failed to find any extra in the run to the line.
14 9 NEW ASIA RISING (M416) M Du Plessis H1 Raced towards the centre of the track, midfield no cover. Struggled over the final furlong.
