4 6 GURUS DREAM (M246) D Whyte -- Raced in 2 wide line 5-6ls back around midfield, same margin down to turn, in amongst horses to 200m, closed hard when clear last furlong to make frame late.
5 9 BUNDLE OF LOVE (N324) K C Ng -- Showed usual speed to lead, set terms to suit, kicked on at top of straight, overhauled inside 100m just missing frame.
6 4 MASQUERADER (N234) U Rispoli B Missed start, mustered to sit just off midfield 6-7ls back, kept making ground on circle, kept on evenly in straight without threatening.
7 2 HAPPY INDEX (N162) M Chadwick CP Lacked usual pace, raced behind midfield 8ls or more off top end, improved on rails on bend, closed fairly along inside to be closest at finish.
8 10 LORD SINCLAIR (N447) R Fourie H Restrained from a wide gate, raced more than 10ls back at rear, saved ground on rails on bend, made some progress along inside in straight to be nearest at finish.
9 3 HORSE GALORE (L220) T H So B Took up a prominent spot at leaders girth, raced 1L away to bend, couldn't stay on when they sprinted and steadily faded.
10 1 STRAIGHT GOLD (N089) N Callan H/SB/XB Restrained from a wide gate, best part of 12ls back, made ground approaching turn and made even progress without looking likely (blood in trachea).
11 5 AMIGO (CK358) A Suborics B Raced more forward than usual, posted 3 on circle, 2ls down turning but folded when workload took toll and dropped out.
12 7 KA YING KID (P189) T Clark H1/XB1/TT1 Ended up racing 3 wide at rear, more than 10ls back, plenty to do well back turning, no impression in straight.
13 13 ROYAL PARTNER (N394) C K Tong -- Taken back from wide gate, always well back, 12ls or so off front, gave too much start but still made no significant progress in straight.
14 14 TOUCH GO (L254) H W Lai -- Ended up in midfield 3 wide, had cover part of the time, ridden along approaching turn, steadily weakened out of it.
