4 7 SMART FORWARD (S158) D Whyte -- Began fairly, raced tightly 1000m, dropping to rear away from fence. Raced tightly turn, no clear run in straight, shifted in 200m when denied run. Boxed on.
5 3 CLANCY AVENUE (S118) W C Marwing -- Ridden along early, settling midfield between horses. Switched out turning for home but no run and forced to shift in 150m. Finished off nicely.

10 8 SEMPITERNAL (S100) A Suborics -- Jumped OK but no early pace, slipping back to rear but away from fence. Ran past tired horses in straight.
11 2 THE PRINCE (L241) H W Lai B-/TT Pressed forward from inside draw to lead on settling. Set decent pace, kicked clear 400m, collared 200m, faded.
12 13 SIR JOHN (P344) K C Ng -- Began awkwardly, mustered along fence to sit behind midfield at turn. Gave ground gradually after entering straight.
