2 5 SMILING PRIDE (A344) U Rispoli TT Was away well but didn't have the speed of others and settled midfield one horse off the fence. Was ridden up before cornering before pulling out wider in the straight and making good late ground in the final 300m.
3 10 LE PANACHE (V369) D Whyte B Came across to midfield but was posted three horses wide without cover in middle stages. Was 2.5 lengths of lead on cornering and maintained that margin in the final section.
4 11 MANAGEMENT STAR (B006) C Y Ho B/TT Was the last into stride before making up that ground in first 400m to settle midfield on the fence. Moved away from the fence at the 550m before entering the straight the second widest runner. Boxed on in the last section.
5 9 GOLDEN FOUR (B225) K Teetan B Was fairly away before coming across and slotting in behind leading pair one horse off the fence. Moved around heals after the 600m to be close to leading pair. Shifted some ground in the straight before tiring out the last 150m.
6 3 TAI SMART (A366) A Badel B/TT Held fence position to be third behind the leader in early and middle stages. Travelled comfortably up to the corner and was presented with clear running after the 400m but tired out the final 200m.
7 6 HEROIC GURU (S260) C Murray B Wasn't fast away and had no early speed, subsequently settled at the tail of the field after 300m. Raced a little keen between the 750m and 600m. Stayed close to the rail on cornering and never threatened in the run to the line.
8 8 SMART ROCKET (B322) C Schofield CP Was slightly awkward to begin & subsequently was eased back to settle at the rear of the field. Moved three horses wide at the 800m. Was a clear last on cornering around 5.5L from lead. Didn't make any impression in the run to the line.
9 2 ROMANTIC BONANZA (B344) K C Leung V-/TT Began well and came across to position outside the leader. Travelled comfortably in early and middle stages before weakening out from the 350m.
