2 1 GOLDEN LONG (H462) K C Leung TT Pushed forward before improving to race at the leaders quarters from the 900m. Moved up to take lead at 150m before being over-run by winner in final 50m.
3 10 VALHALLA (E495) B Avdulla XB/TT Raced in midfield away from the rail, was contacted at the 700m with rider reporting saddle shifted. Was just under 4L from lead on straightening, following winner, was eventually shifted outwards before closing well late.
4 2 RAGNARR (H297) L Ferraris TT2 Had a soft run on the leaders back for the majority. Stayed nearer the inside on straightening, finished off steadily to be beaten under 2L.
5 4 FLYING PHANTOM (J086) Z Purton H Improved after first corner to race in midfield on rail. Became keen & had to be steadied off heels near the 800m when continuing along rail. Was just under 5L from lead at 400m, made a few late lengths without threatening.
6 9 MELBOURNE HALL (D118) Y L Chung B/XB Had a soft run in midfield along the rail. Stayed along the rail on straightening when about 2.5L from the lead, finished only evenly, maintaining margin in the last section when finishing midfield.
7 6 HAPPY SOUL (G249) H Bentley CP/TT Jumped awkwardly & then shifted behind runners to the rail & raced third last. Was over 6L from the lead entering last section, made some ground when finishing off to finish midfield from the back.
8 3 HIGH RISE SOLDIER (C511) L Hewitson B Drifted back after first bend to race worse than midfield away from rail. Was 5.5L from lead entering last section, came wider on straightening, made up a few lengths relative to lead but couldn't improve placing in straight.
8 8 HERO STAR (D033) M Chadwick TT Pushed forward to lead. Joined & headed by the runner-up near the 150m mark before weakening a few lengths late.
10 7 EVER VICTORIOUS (H422) B Thompson XB Slow to begin & was then shifted back from widest gate to race second last away from the rail. Was over 7L from the lead entering last section, failed to improve in straight & was well beaten.
11 12 HO HO STAR (H291) A Badel B-/TT Steadied from second widest gate & taken back to last. Was about 9L from the lead entering last section, failed to improve in straight & was well beaten last.
