1 3 COPARTNER PRANCE (H408) Z Purton XB1/TT- Veered outwards at start & hampered a number of rivals, improved position to be three wide outside leaders before shifting two wide outside leader from 750m. Moved to lead at 275m pulled away to win softly.
2 8 VALHALLA (E495) K De Melo XB/TT Raced on the leaders back early & continued to get soft run along rail throughout. Got clear running up the inside in straight, moved to second approaching 100m mark, finished clear of third, no match for impressive winner.
3 9 HAYDAY (H321) M Chadwick H/P/XB1/TT- Pushed forward to lead. Joined in the lead by the winner near the 275m, battled well, continued in second until near the 100m mark, held well beaten third on the line.
4 10 WINNING HEART (H065) A Badel B/TT Began only fairly & raced just worse than midfield along the rail. Moved slightly closer to lead approaching home corner, entered last section 4L from lead, passed a few rivals when making some late headway, well held 4th.
5 2 HERCULES (C476) B Avdulla B/TT Raced in midfield along the rail throughout. Was only 2.5L from the lead at the 400m mark, stayed along rail in straight, finished off only fairly to the line.
6 12 BEAT HOLLOW (G414) M L Yeung -- Pushed forward, raced outside the lead in the early stages before being crossed and racing 1,1 from about the 750m. Was only just behind the lead on straightening but only battled on one paced in last furlong.
7 5 GREAT ACHIEVER (J049) C L Chau -- Was trapped racing three wide in midfield and was then left wide & without cover from the 800m mark. Was only 2.5L from the lead entering last section, tried hard in the straight but wide run took its toll in the last 100m.
8 11 SAME TO YOU (H057) Y L Chung H/P/TT Steadied from widest gate & take back around first bend. Veered outwards near 900m when being steadied to race third last. Continued near the back on straightening before making some ground when finishing off out wide late.
9 1 STREET CONQUEROR (H341) K Teetan TT Badly crowded & hampered at start before obtaining position just worse than midfield away from rail. Improved to midfield in middle stages, came wider near 400m when just under 4L from lead, failed to finish off in straight.
10 4 GALE SAGA (J152) A Atzeni B Raced in midfield between runners throughout. Was 3L from the lead entering last section, had clear running on straightening, did little in the straight and was beaten 5L into third last.
11 6 MANYTHANKS FOREVER (J065) A Hamelin CP1/TT Was badly crowded & checked soon after the start, consequently losing ground & then racing second last. Raced along the rail when 6L from the lead passing 400m mark, made no headway in straight but had some excuse.
12 7 LAPRAS (H374) H Bentley -- Badly crowded between runners & lost ground after start. Shifted across sharply, became extremely unbalanced, nearly dislodged rider & lost ground when striking rail 1000m mark. Never in the race after incident. See report.
