4 12 AFFIRM (H306) L Ferraris TT Broke well and ridden to lead holding some 1L advantage most of the way to home straight, unable to sustain effort and headed inside final 100 metres.
5 1 NEBRASKAN (J304) Z Purton PC Recovered quickly from moderate start settling one back in 4th on rail onto home bend, baulked briefly after straightening, improving well when running out of room inside final 70 metres.
6 5 FLYING LUCK (J339) C Y Ho -- Towards rear early stages, keen behind runners in midfield leaving back straight, re-gained midfield position rounding home bend, fought on steadily under pressure in straight despite not finding much room throughout.
7 7 SIGHT HAPPY (J261) K Teetan -- Ridden positively from a poor draw settling just off the pace 2-wide in 3rd, held some chance early in straight but could make no impression under pressure inside final 200 metres.
8 13 SUPER CHARIZZARD (J184) L Hewitson P Jumped awkwardly, soon taken well back, gained slightly closer rounding home bend, ran on under pressure in straight to be nearest at finish.
9 9 MR VALIANT (G288) B Avdulla -- Settled towards rear, commenced move 3-wide rounding home bend going wider into straight, could only keep on steadily at the same pace without threatening.
10 2 ACE POWER (J181) H Bentley CP1 Began moderately, improved steadily 3-wide in back straight to reach 6th over 3L back around the bend, lost position entering home straight and tight between runners most of the way.
11 3 SEA AIR LEGEND (H318) H T Mo -- Settled in forward of midfield on rails, saved ground rounding home bend, did not find much room early in straight, made no further impression inside final 200 metres. (Jockey said saddle shifted at start.)
