Horse Name Jockey Gear Comment
9 SAME TO YOU (H057) B Avdulla H/P/TT Jumped well, moved up passing 900M to chase leader, quickened up impressively early straight to lead 200M , held off fast finishing 2nd late. (Jockey : raced in a more forward position where his horse was comfortable.)
12 HO HO STAR (H291) K C Leung H From wide draw dropped back early stages, held up 450M-300M before closing off eye-catchingly to be beaten 0.5L at the line.
3 SUPER ELITE (H247) H Bowman B/H/XB From draw 4 ended up racing 3-wide no cover in midfield, fought on steadily under pressure but was always held by winner. (Jockey : jumped a marking on the track 170M and became unbalanced.)
10 THE GOOD DEAL (G025) K Teetan CP-/B2/TT Driven forward, stalked the leader into the straight, kept battling from 400M but lacked the extra gear to challenge winner, just missed out on 3rd.
5 SMART LEADER (B456) Z Purton PC/XB/TT Reserved behind midfield, over-raced middle stages, into clear 350M then worked home well to finish in the money.
13 REGENCY HAPPY STAR (H248) H T Mo B Soon in front and enjoyed uncontested lead, unable to hold off winner mid-straight, no extra 150M losing several places close home. (Jockey: instructed to go forward and endeavour to lead.)
7 YOUTH POWER (H358) M L Yeung B/TT Caught racing 3-wide behind mid-division, kept on fairly passing 400M, couldn't launch a serious challenge.
8 ALLOY KING (D287) H Bentley V From draw 1 maintained a midfield position along the fence, in touch with leaders home turn but then only worked home fairly final 400M.
11 RED MAVERICK (J067) M Chadwick -- Jumped only fairly, raced towards the rear 7Ls off the pace, took time to muster in the straight, steadied 250M, ran past beaten rivals late and was too far back to trouble the leaders.
4 MOLLY'S WITNESS (J121) B Thompson B/SR1/TT Jumped awkwardly and lost ground, settled in the back half of the field, had plenty to do as they headed for home, failed to pick up speed and never looked likely.
6 LUCKY QUALITY (D050) K H Chan V/TT Bustled along after the start, settled ahead of midfield, battled on one paced early straight, was tired after 200M and eased down. (Jockey : raced in a disappointing manner.)
1 TATTENHAM (H121) A Badel H Settled in the second half of the field, failed to make much impression on straightening. Never a threat. (Jockey : unable to hold a more forward position / better suited racing at Happy Valley.)
2 EXCELLENT DADDY (E321) L Ferraris TT Blundered after the start then dropped back to race at the rear, caught wide throughout, had the job ahead 400M but gave no response when asked, failed to threaten at any stage.
