Racing Incident Report
After being boxed, EXULTATION became fractious and continually threw its head about. When the gates opened, EXULTATION missed the start slightly. UNIVERSAL WINNER was slowly away. At the 1000 Metres, STERLING STAR shifted in abruptly away from RED ZONE. At about the 900 Metres, NO MONEY NO HONEY and FLAGS UP bumped. For some distance in the early part of the Straight, SPRING had trouble obtaining a run between WASABI and MIGHTY AND GOLD. At about the 200 Metres, general tightening occurred. The main sufferers were SPRING, WASABI and NO MONEY NO HONEY. It was established that at about this stages MIGHTY AND GOLD was awkwardly placed close to the hindquarters of NEVER SAY NEVER which shifted out slightly and also STINGER was inclined to get in away from FLAGS UP which itself got its head on the side and shifted in away from EXULTATION. Whilst the tightening that occurred was of some significance, the Stewards were of the view that no rider or riders could be held responsible and therefore no action was taken.
