Racing Incident Report
LUCKY MEANINGS jumped with its head up, was then further inconvenienced when crowded for room between HEART OF GOLD and FAKEI FORTUNE, both of which shifted ground. Just after the start, FAKEI FORTUNE was checked when crowded between STARLIGHT SUPREME and LUCKY MEANINGS which was taken out abruptly by HEART OF GOLD which shifted ground away from HAPPY PRINCE. The occurrence was accidental. Running to the first turn, STARLIGHT SUPREME got its head up when being steadied off the heels of BOLD DANCER, this caused some inconvenience to FORTUNE SALLIAN which was following. On straightening, FORTUNE SALLIAN was steadied and shifted in to find running, then near the 300 Metres was steadied and shifted out to avoid HEART OF GOLD which was weakening. In the early part of the Straight, HAPPY PRINCE became unbalanced when crowded between HEART OF GOLD and WISHES which was taken in slightly by WINNING LUCK. Throughout the race, SKYSTONE hung in. Also throughout the race, MILLENNIUM DAWN hung out badly. On returning to the scale, it was noted that the bit pulled through the horse's mouth and the bridle almost came off its head. The performance of MILLENNIUM DAWN was considered to be unacceptable. Before the horse can race again, it will have to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial around a bend. MILLENNIUM DAWN was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing.
