Racing Incident Report

On leaving the Parade Ring, GOOD FIT kicked out and made contact with a rail. After arriving at the barriers, the horse reared, dislodged S King, its rider and broke loose. GOOD FIT however was quickly caught by an outrider, returned to the Start where it was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon. He said he was unable to detect any abnormalities, the horse trotted up sound and after discussing the matter with S King, the Veterinary Surgeon decided that GOOD FIT was suitable to race. SUPER CONQUEROR jumped awkwardly with its head up. BE MY HEART left the gates poorly and momentarily threw its head about. Turning out of the Straight the first time, ETERNAL START, which was being steadied, had a tendency to get its head in the air. For some distance in the early stages, GOOD FIT proved difficult to settle. About the 500 Metres, GOOD FIT shifted out from behind BRAVISSIMO, this caused some inconvenience to BE MY HEART and obliged that horse which had been travelling wide along the back to cover additional ground. Rounding the latter part of the turn, BRAVISSIMO was awkwardly placed behind CHUK WAY and ETERNAL START. To obtain running on straightening, BRAVISSIMO was shifted in. Near the 300 Metres, DRIFTING AWAY was momentarily tight inside HIDDEN TALENT. Throughout the race, SUPER CONQUEROR hung in, then near the 400 Metres Apprentice Y T Cheng dropped his whip. CHUK WAY was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing.
