Racing Incident Report
FOR MY WISHES left the gates awkwardly and just after the start was bumped by PERPETUAL HARMONY. As a result of this, FOR MY WISHES shifted in and bumped COSMO ONE. In the early stages, UNIVERSAL PEGASUS got it head up and hung in, then raced in a forward position without any cover. In the middle stages, TRAVELLER STAR became unbalanced and threw its head about when awkwardly placed between FOR MY WISHES and FISH KING. Also in the middle stages, FOR MY WISHES proved somewhat difficult to settle. For some distance near the 600 Metres, TAURUS raced in a tight pocket behind FISH KING and inside TRAVELLER STAR. Approaching and rounding the Home Turn, COSMO ONE was held up for running. In the early part of the Straight, TRAVELLER STAR was disappointed for running between FOR MY WISHES and FISH KING. This caused some inconvenience to PAR AVION which was following. After the 200 Metres, PAR AVION, which was finding the line strongly, was steadied and shifted out to avoid PRISTINE which was giving ground. About the 300 Metres, TAURUS shifted out in an endeavour to go between TRAVELLER STAR and GOLDEN CHOICE, but GOLDEN CHOICE shifted out momentarily, because of this TAURUS was steadied and shifted in abruptly to try and find running. Apprentice K C Tsang (MR HAPPY) said the intention was to try and ride the horse somewhere about midfield if possible and find cover. He said however he was not able to find cover at any stage, was obliged to race wide throughout and in the run to the line MR HAPPY weakened. FOR MY WISHES and MR HAPPY were sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing.
