Racing Incident Report
RORY'S BID jumped very awkwardly with its head up, as a consequence of this lost considerable ground. On jumping, B Marcus (TOP WINNER) bumped the outside of his gate. STERLING CHANCE left the gates awkwardly and shifted out abruptly, as a consequence of this SPARTAN was checked, shifted out abruptly away from WINWIN COMBINATION, and PERFECT CHOICE was hampered. Approaching and rounding the Home Turn, FLYING KNIGHT hung out. About right on the winning post, RORY'S BID was steadied when crowded between CORE PRINCIPLES and STARLIGHT SUPREME which was taken in by FLYING KNIGHT. W M Lai (PERFECT CHOICE) explained the intention had been if possible to travel somewhere near the front. He said however on jumping when PERFECT CHOICE was inconvenienced as a consequence of SPARTAN being taken out, he got further back than planned and after that at no stage did PERFECT CHOICE appear comfortable on the track and in the going, several times became unbalanced and also on occasions brushed the running rail.
