Racing Incident Report

STAR WARRIOR left the gates awkwardly, shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of INDY'S GEM. On jumping, MILLENNIUM LEGEND and APPLIED SUPREME came together. Near the winning post the first time, MILLENNIUM LEGEND, which had been racing in an awkward position for some time, was steadied when crowded between ME AND YOU and APPLIED SUPREME. About the 600 Metres, WONDERFUL LIFE shifted out slightly and bumped the shoulder of MILLENNIUM LEGEND which became momentarily unbalanced, shifted ground and caused inconvenience to ME AND YOU which was obliged to race wider. About the 400 Metres, APPLIED SUPREME was steadied to avoid the heels of INDY'S GEM which shifted out slightly to follow MILLENNIUM LEGEND. Rounding the turn and in the Straight, TELECOM TWIN hung in. Near the 200 Metres, APPLIED SUPREME was checked slightly when disappointed for running between WONDERFUL LIFE and INDY'S GEM which was taken in slightly by FORTUNE GLORY. In the circumstances, no action was taken. For some distance near the 200 Metres, STAR WARRIOR (D Dunn) raced tight between WONDERFUL LIFE and LUCKY KING which was weakening. About 100 Metres out, LUCKY KING, which was continuing to give ground, was steadied when crowded by STAR WARRIOR as it went forward after obtaining a tight run. Whilst no direct action was taken, D Dunn was advised to ensure he has sufficient racing room before endeavouring to improve his position in future. ME AND YOU was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing.
