Racing Incident Report

PROJECTVISION was slowly away. ARABICA missed the start, was then inconvenienced by MIDAS KING which on leaving the gates shifted in abruptly. TRIUMPHANT SMILE was slow to jump. About the winning post the first time, ARABICA and HONG KONG VITALITY were unbalanced when tightened by NON SEQUITUR (F Coetzee) which shifted in when not quite clear. F Coetzee was reprimanded and told he must exercise more care. When HONG KONG VITALITY checked, TRIUMPHANT SMILE, which was following, was checked in consequence. Passing the winning post the first time, COMFORT was checked when tight inside INDY'S GEM which momentarily was taken in by HIN YUEN'S UNICORN. When COMFORT checked, DANCING SOUND, which was following, was checked in consequence and PROJECTVISION was also inconvenienced. Turning out of the Straight the first time, MIDAS KING, which had a tendency to be pulling, threw its head about when awkward just inside the heels of GUSCOTT. About the 1000 Metres, HONG KONG VITALITY, when hanging in, was momentarily awkward on the heels of KRISTOFFERSON, then for some distance after this raced ungenerously between DANCING SOUND and TRIUMPHANT SMILE. Near the 600 Metres, MIDAS KING was steadied when crowded between GUSCOTT and NON SEQUITUR. After the 600 Metres, KRISTOFFERSON, which was awkwardly placed between WILFRED'S NEW PET and MIDAS KING, lost its position when WILFRED'S NEW PET was taken out slightly by INDY'S GEM and MIDAS KING shifted in slightly. Then near the 400 Metres, KRISTOFFERSON was steadied when disappointed for running between WILFRED'S NEW PET and MIDAS KING. In the run to the winning post, ABLE WIN shifted out. Because of this J Egan was obliged to change the whip into his left hand. Near the winning post, COMFORT and KRISTOFFERSON brushed. KRISTOFFERSON was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing.
