Racing Incident Report
After arriving at the course, DE INTEGRO was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon. He said the horse had sustained an abrasion above its off eye in the float on the way to the track, in his opinion the area was not swollen nor was it sore. After the necessary consultation the Veterinary Surgeon said DE INTEGRO was suitable to race. PROFIT TREASURE was slowly away. SEATTLE SUN missed the start, then just after jumping was checked when crowded for room between GLORY ST PAUL'S which shifted in and MILLENNIUM LEGEND which left the gates awkwardly with its head up and shifted out. In the early and middle stages, CULLINAN from a difficult gate was obliged to race very wide and not able to find any cover. About the 800 Metres, PROFIT TREASURE was steadied when momentarily tightened by HANDSOME MAN. About the 500 Metres, GOLDEN KING, which was giving ground, was steadied when tightened for room between WINNING DELIGHTS which was racing tight inside CULLINAN and HANDSOME MAN which shifted out slightly. GOLDEN KING then tailed off. The performance of GOLDEN KING was considered unacceptable. Before GOLDEN KING can race again, it has to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and will be required to pass an official veterinary examination.
