Racing Incident Report
SPRING LOVE left the gates very awkwardly, lost a lot of ground and then in the early stages was reluctant to stretch out. FORTUNE GLORY was slowly away. Passing the winning post the first time, GUSCOTT was steadied and shifted out when unable to obtain a position in front of TRIPLE DRAGON. Because of this incident, GUSCOTT was obliged to race wide and without cover. In the Straight, the surcingle fitted to TRIPLE DRAGON broke. For a short distance just after the 200 Metres, OVER SUBSCRIBE was unbalanced when endeavouring to improve between COMFORT and CLEVER CITATION. RANGEELA and FORTUNE GLORY were sent for clinical veterinary examination and testing. After the race, FORTUNE GLORY was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon. He said an endoscopic examination was performed and this revealed that the horse had a significant amount of blood in the trachea and also in the larynx.
