Racing Incident Report
GOLDEN PROMISE left the gates very awkwardly, shifted in and bumped the hindquarters of FISH KING which then shifted in and as a consequence of this WAH YAN FORTUNE was checked and got well back. In view of the circumstances, no action was taken. Just after the start, AMITY, which was shifting out, jumped a shadow made across the track by the Starter's stand. Shortly after this, AMITY again jumped some marks on the track which were probably left by the false rail when it was lying on the track as the field went to the Start. Near the 600 Metres, COSMO ONE was steadied by MULTIDANDY which became unbalanced when taken in slightly by GOLDEN PROMISE (Y T Cheng). Y T Cheng was advised he must exercise more care when shifting ground. Near the 400 Metres, O Doleuze (FISH KING) dropped his whip. Approaching the 200 Metres, AMITY was momentarily awkward on the heels of MULTIDANDY. ILIKETOSMILE was sent for clinical veterinary examination and testing. After the race, Mr A T Millard, trainer of MULTIDANDY, sought a veterinary examination of the horse. The Veterinary Surgeon said the horse was trotted up, an endoscopic examination was carried out and a heart check performed. He said despite these checks he was unable to detect any abnormalities.
