Racing Incident Report

On the way to the Start, D Whyte was dislodged from SOUND LOVER. WINNING WAYS, which was restless in the gates, threw its head about, missed the start badly and was momentarily unbalanced. FOREVER HERO left the gates awkwardly, shifted in and bumped SUPER BOLD RACER which in turn shifted ground and made contact with HENNESSY STAR, resulting in that horse being carried across the heels of SUPERIOR TITLE. From a difficult gate, SOUND LOVER was obliged to cover a lot of extra ground and raced without cover. About the 1000 Metres, FOREVER HERO was steadied when momentarily tightened between SUPER BOLD RACER and CLASSIC CHOICE. Near the 700 Metres, HONOUR GRADE became unbalanced and shifted ground when racing close to the heels of CLASSIC CHOICE. About the 200 Metres, HENNESSY STAR was steadied and shifted out when disappointed for running inside BLAZING MOON which was weakening. Near the winning post, WINNING WAYS and WINWIN COMBINATION came together. FOREVER HERO was sent for a clinical veterinary examination. After the race, FOREVER HERO was examined. No abnormalities were detected. CLASSIC CHOICE, SUPERIOR TITLE and HENNESSY STAR were sent for sampling. Subsequent to the race, D Whyte (SOUND LOVER) said he noticed the horse had mucus in its nostrils. SOUND LOVER was examined by the Veterinary Officer. An endoscopic examination was carried out. No significant findings were observed.
