Racing Incident Report
FORTUNE LAD jumped very awkwardly with its head up, shifted ground and bumped the outside of its starting stall. As a consequence of this, FORTUNE LAD lost ground, then was ridden along. EASY PUNCH left the gates awkwardly. From a difficult gate, NATIVE LANGUAGE was obliged to race wide and was not able to find any cover. UTMOST EASY made the first turn awkwardly and shifted out from behind HORACE'S HORSE. In the early stages, MR HECTOR hung in and near the 1000 Metres bumped HORACE'S HORSE. About the 800 Metres, MR HECTOR, which was continuing to hang in, was steadied to avoid the heels of MY PARTNER (G Mossé) which shifted in when only just clear. When MR HECTOR was eased, UTMOST EASY, which was following, was hampered in consequence and was shifted out abruptly. G Mossé was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground. Near the 600 Metres, FIRST KNIGHT shifted ground and brushed the running rail. Near the 200 Metres, FORTUNE LAD was taken in slightly by NICE FRIENDS and as a consequence bumped with MONEY. NATIVE LANGUAGE, MY PARTNER and HORACE'S HORSE were sent for sampling.
