Racing Incident Report
On leaving the Parade Ring, KINGDOM OF GOLD kicked out and made contact with a rail. After arriving at the Start, the horse was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and following the necessary consultations it was decided KINGDOM OF GOLD was suitable to race. About the 1500 Metres, when the pace steadied, a number of runners commenced pulling and were difficult to settle. The main runners involved were CALIFORNIA TYCOON, TWEET and SKY HAWK. For a short distance near the 600 Metres, JUMBO LUCK was awkwardly placed close to the heels of TREMENDOUS WAY which was being taken out slightly by TWEET which shifted ground to avoid SKY HAWK. About the 300 Metres, SKY HAWK was steadied when momentarily tight between OPTIC CHIEF and TWEET. After the race, it was noted that NATURE'S TREASURE was bleeding from both nostrils. Following the race, the Veterinary Surgeon reported that SKY HAWK had sustained a minor laceration to the inside of its off hind fetlock joint.
