Racing Incident Report

When LUCKY VICTORIES was being saddled, it was noted the saddle had been fitted with two surcingles but without a girth. This necessitated the saddle being returned to scale and G Mossé being re-weighed. The explanations submitted by G Mossé regarding this occurrence were accepted, however, he was told to exercise more care with his gear. Before being mounted, it was noted CHINA WORLD had cast its off side front plate. This was refitted before the horse proceeded to the Start. ALWAYS ZIETEN left the gates awkwardly. W C Marwing (SCHOOL DAYS) said on jumping the saddle shifted back. From an outside gate, CHINA WORLD was steadied to take up a position towards the rear and closer to the rail. In the early stages, OVER SUBSCRIBE pulled hard and was difficult to settle. Near the 400 Metres, OVER SUBSCRIBE, which was not handling the ground, became unbalanced when close to the heels of DON CARLOS and awkwardly placed between FAITHFUL ASSURANCE and UTMOST EASY which was inclined to be shifting out. About the 200 Metres, WIN OKAY was steadied when disappointed for running between OPTIC DYNAMIC and UTMOST EASY.
