Racing Incident Report

BURST TO VICTORY was slow to begin, then was bumped by SMILEY WIN which was also slow to begin. JUST VICTORY, which was standing badly, began awkwardly, then in the early stages proved difficult to settle. Making the turn at the 800 Metres, SEA CORAL, which was proving difficult to settle, got its head up on a number of occasions and became unbalanced. After the 800 Metres, FANTASTICO clipped the heels of PRESENT TREASURE and blundered. On straightening, SMILEY WIN was held up and unable to improve when close to the heels of DJEREED. At the 300 Metres, TIM'S TONIC, which was racing awkwardly with its head up, was steadied and shifted out when crowded for room between JOIN SUCCESS and JUST VICTORY which shifted ground while hanging. At the 200 Metres, DJEREED and JOIN SUCCESS were steadied when crowded for room between JUST VICTORY (A Delpech) which continued to shift ground while hanging and GREAT DRAGON (K S Yu) which shifted to the outside of FANTASTICO to improve. In the circumstances, both A Delpech and K S Yu were reprimanded and told in similar circumstances they would be expected to stop riding and straighten their mounts. Near the winning post, BURST TO VICTORY raced close to the heels of ETERNAL START and because of this was not ridden out to the end of the race as it normally would be. FANTASTICO, PRESENT TREASURE and ETERNAL START were sent for sampling.
