Racing Incident Report

THUNDER MAN began awkwardly from the outside gate and shifted out abruptly. BY INSTINCT began very awkwardly and bumped the outside gate of its stall, causing R Fradd, its rider, to become badly unbalanced, almost be dislodged and lose the use of his left side stirrup. R Fradd regained this stirrup about 100 Metres after the start. PACKING ANGEL was a little slow to begin. Approaching the winning post on the first occasion, PACIFIC ALLIANCE was steadied when tightened for room inside ABLE MARSHALL. At the 1000 Metres, ABLE MARSHALL was steadied away from the heels of WEALTHY TREASURE which was proving difficult to settle. At the 200 Metres, WEALTHY TREASURE, which was endeavouring to improve to the outside of LUCKY LAD, was bumped by PACKING ANGEL which shifted in. For some distance after this, WEALTHY TREASURE and PACKING ANGEL raced tight. Also at the 200 Metres, COMMANDER CHARLIE, which was having difficulty obtaining clear running, was steadied and shifted to the outside of PACKING ANGEL to go forward. Near the winning post, PACIFIC ALLIANCE was awkwardly placed inside LUCKY LAD and outside BOBO DUCK which shifted out slightly. Because of this, PACIFIC ALLIANCE was not ridden out right to the winning post. Just prior to the winning post, WEALTHY TREASURE was brushed by PACKING ANGEL. Throughout the race, SUPER GOAL STRIKER raced wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground. WEALTHY TREASURE, DASHING CHAMPION and LUCKY LAD were sent for sampling.
