Racing Incident Report
When the gates opened, SOUTHERN LIGHT, which was leaning on the outside of the stall, bounded in the air. BALL OF FIRE began awkwardly and got its head up. FANTASTICO was slow to begin. Shortly after the start, RARE COLLECTION was checked when crowded for room between FIFTY FIFTY which shifted out slightly and ARABIAN WAGER which had its head on the side and shifted in abruptly. No action was taken. After being crossed by ARABIAN WAGER after the 800 Metres, KEEN FLYER got its head up and commenced to race awkwardly. At the 600 Metres, KEEN FLYER again got its head up and was reluctant to hold its position to the inside of GORGEOUS YEARS. At the 700 Metres, FIFTY FIFTY, which was proving difficult to settle, was checked and shifted out away from the heels of GORGEOUS YEARS. Some inconvenience was caused to AMITY which was carried wider. Making the turn after the 600 Metres, AMITY hung out. Over about the final 100 Metres, FIFTY FIFTY hung in away from SOUTHERN LIGHT and was awkwardly placed close to the heels of ARABIAN WAGER. Because of this, FIFTY FIFTY was not ridden out to the line as it normally would be. ARABIAN WAGER and SOUTHERN LIGHT were sent for sampling.
