Racing Incident Report
GOLDEN FARM, which had been assisted by a gate attendant, was standing with its head turned to the left, was a little slow to begin and then was momentarily checked to avoid the heels of CALIFORNIA HEART which on jumping shifted in abruptly. As a consequence of this, GOLDEN FARM lost ground and got much further back than is usual. After this, GOLDEN FARM travelled wide and without cover. SPARKY began awkwardly. AWESOME EAGLE was slow to begin, then making the turn after the 700 Metres hung out badly. Shortly after the start, SHARE THE FUN lost its position when crowded for room between HELENE ELEGANCE which shifted out and SUCCESSOR which was carried in by EVER MORE. At the 500 Metres, SUCCESSOR, which commenced to give ground, became unbalanced. BRAVE KNIGHT, which was following, was steadied to avoid the heels of SUCCESSOR. AMAZING ONE made the Home Turn awkwardly, got its head on the side and was inclined to shift out. Near the 200 Metres, GAUCHO was momentarily steadied away from the heels of CALIFORNIA HEART which shifted in when barely clear. SUPER WIN FORTUNE, which tailed out, was sent for an official veterinary inspection. After the race, SUPER WIN FORTUNE was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said an endoscopic examination showed a significant amount of blood in the horse's trachea. The performance of SUPER WIN FORTUNE was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, SUPER WIN FORTUNE will have to perform competitively in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. GOLDEN FARM was sent for an official veterinary inspection. After the race, GOLDEN FARM was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said an endoscopic examination showed a significant amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, GOLDEN FARM will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. AMAZING ONE, CALIFORNIA HEART and BRAVE KNIGHT were sent for sampling. After the race, it was reported AMAZING ONE had bled from both nostrils.
