Racing Incident Report
SUNDAY DELIGHT began awkwardly. When the gates opened, NOBLE BOSS stood flat-footed and lost a considerable amount of ground. Before being allowed to race again, NOBLE BOSS will have to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. HARRY HARRY began awkwardly and bumped the outside gate of its stall. Shortly after the start, EASY DASH and ACCELERATION were crowded for room between MYTHIC STEED and TATTLETALE, both of which shifted ground. Near the 1500 Metres, DONGGUAN VICTORY became unbalanced and was checked when crowded for room inside EASY DASH which was carried in by ACCELERATION which after initially being carried in by TATTLETALE shifted in further away from that horse. In the circumstances, the Stewards did not believe it appropriate to attribute blame to any one rider and therefore no action was taken. After the 600 Metres, BEST EVER was steadied when awkwardly placed inside the heels of DONGGUAN VICTORY. Over about the final 200 Metres, TATTLETALE and ACCELERATION raced tight and brushed on several occasions due mainly to ACCELERATION hanging out. For the major part of the race, TATTLETALE raced wide and without cover. Apprentice H W Lai (FAVOURITE RETURN) said he had been instructed to lead which he was able to do at a pace which he felt was comfortable. He said FAVOURITE RETURN travelled comfortably, however, being a one-paced horse failed to quicken when asked to close off in the Home Straight. HARRY HARRY was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of HARRY HARRY after the race did not show any significant findings. ACCELERATION, DOUBLE PLEASURE and TATTLETALE were sent for sampling.
