Racing Incident Report

TOP HONOR and ABERDEEN were slow to begin. DANRIVA began awkwardly. TOY QUEST began awkwardly, was then taken across behind runners to a position closer to the rail and shortly after the start was steadied away from the heels of DANRIVA. Approaching the winning post on the first occasion, SURVEYOR was momentarily crowded for room between ABERDEEN and EASTKOWLOON SPIRIT, both of which shifted ground. Near the 1300 Metres, DIAMOND ERA was steadied away from the heels of ADD THE FUN (O Doleuze) which shifted in when not quite clear. When DIAMOND ERA was being steadied away from the heels of ADD THE FUN, CLASSA WIN, which was racing inside DIAMOND ERA, was steadied and SEASONS TREASURE, which was following DIAMOND ERA, was inconvenienced in consequence. O Doleuze was advised to ensure he is sufficiently clear in future. For a short distance near the 400 Metres, SURVEYOR raced tight between SEASONS TREASURE which shifted out and ABERDEEN which shifted in slightly when giving ground. Near the 100 Metres, SURVEYOR was steadied when crowded for room between TOY QUEST and TOP HONOR (G Mossé) which shifted to the outside of DIAMOND ERA to improve. G Mossé was reprimanded and advised to ensure he leaves sufficient room for his fellow riders in future. ABERDEEN raced wide and without cover throughout the race and in the Straight gave ground and finished tailed out. The performance of ABERDEEN was considered unacceptable. Before being permitted to race again, ABERDEEN will have to perform competitively in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. WINNING SUNSHINE, FORTUNE SMILES and SEASONS TREASURE were sent for sampling.
