Racing Incident Report

After arriving at the Start, it was noted GREEN WARRIOR had its tongue over the bit. This was corrected prior to the horse being reloaded. KE JIA WANG began awkwardly and lost ground. MASONIC TREASURE was slow to begin. SUPER SPECIAL, which was fractious after being boxed, began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped SUPER DRAGON. After this, SUPER SPECIAL shifted in and bumped on several occasions with FEBURO, causing both horses to lose ground. VICTORY CODE, which was standing with its head down when the gates opened, began awkwardly and lost ground. Near the 800 Metres, SUPER SPECIAL was momentarily steadied away from the heels of SUPER DRAGON which shifted out slightly. At the 500 Metres, SUPER SPECIAL, which was having some difficulty obtaining clear running, was steadied and shifted out after being disappointed for running between KE JIA WANG and RARE COLLECTION. Then near the 300 Metres, SUPER SPECIAL, which was continuing to have difficulty finding clear running, was steadied and shifted to the inside of RED WINE SUPREME after being disappointed for running on the outside of that horse. Over the final 400 Metres, VICTORY CODE hung out. For the major part of the race, GREEN WARRIOR hung in. SUPER SPECIAL, TREASURE COLT and RED STORM RISING were sent for sampling. After the day's racing had concluded, Mr A T Millard, trainer of TOP STITCH, said following the horse returning to its stable it was noted to be distressed.
