Racing Incident Report
PLANET RULER began awkwardly, bumped the inside gate of its stall and lost ground, then shortly afterwards was further steadied away from the heels of KEY TO SUCCESS which was carried in by FIGURES. After this, PLANET RULER was steadied and shifted back across behind runners. GREEN TREASURE bumped the outside gate of its stall on jumping and lost ground. Shortly after the start, SPECIAL KING PRAWN after bumping with THE DUKE was steadied when crowded for room between that horse which was carried in slightly by GEM OF INDIA and BOWMAN'S CROSSING. Before the 1200 Metres, SPECIAL KING PRAWN was momentarily steadied when awkwardly placed inside the heels of BOWMAN'S CROSSING. Near the 1100 Metres, SPECIAL KING PRAWN became unbalanced when momentarily crowded for room inside THE DUKE which got its head on the side and shifted in briefly away from the heels of GEM OF INDIA. In the early part of the Straight, FOKINE was held up and unable to improve when racing behind HELENE PILLAGING and inside FIGURES. Near the 300 Metres, FOKINE shifted to the outside of HELENE PILLAGING to improve, then was carried wider by that horse which got its head on the side and shifted out abruptly. FIGURES, which was racing outside FOKINE, was also hampered and carried wider. Near the 200 Metres, THE DUKE was bumped by BOWMAN'S CROSSING which was closing the race off strongly and improved into a narrow run between THE DUKE and AIN'T HERE. After the 200 Metres, PLANET RULER was shifted in away from the heels of THE DUKE to continue going forward. Over the concluding stages, GEM OF INDIA got its head on the side and hung in. VENGEANCE OF RAIN, FOKINE and TIBER were sent for sampling.
